Frequently Asked Questions

The headset microphone is very quiet – how can I increase the recording level?
To do this, enable ‘Microphone Boost’ or ‘Microphone Boost Control’. In the majority of Windows® systems, you’ll find this function in the Control Panel under the ‘Sound’ option – ‘Recording’; in some cases it may even be located in a submenu. That said, this function might not be available on some systems depending on your sound card.
Why do I find drivers for my headset or speaker system?
Speaker systems and headsets that connect using a jack plug do not require a driver, even when used on a PC/notebook. Only the PC’s soundcard requires a driver, which can be found on the manufacturer’s website.
The microphone of my headset does not work with Windows® XP or is very quiet.
Select "Start Menu/Programs/Accessories/Multimedia/Volume". Click "Options" and then "Settings" and activate the checkbox next to "microphone", if it should not be activated. When your microphone functions but supplies low volume, please select "Options" and "Advanced Settings". Now click on "Advanced" in the box "microphone" and activate the checkbox next to "1 microphone amplifier".
The microphone does not work with Windows® XP.
Click on "Start/Programs/Accessories/Entertainment/Volume". Now your microphone should appear in the list. The checkbox "Tones out" has to be unticked. In case your microphone does not appear in the list, click "Options/Properties". In the appearing list, select your microphone and click "OK". Now your microphone should appear in the list. Finally, uncheck "Tones out".
Where can I find a driver for my microphone?
Microphones don′t require drivers. They will be configurated in the settings of your sound card.
