| The PECOS UNIVERSAL range of AC adapters offers reliable power for your mobile computer – here’s how you find the right model: | ||||||
![]() ![]() | Determine your notebook’s power rating (in Watts) – in most cases, you’ll find this information on the base of the device. If it’s not there, check the original AC adapter supplied by the notebook manufacturer or the manual. If you can only find the voltage (V) and current in amps (A), you can calculate your notebook’s power rating using our Watt calculator:
The following PECOS devices are suitable for your notebook: PECOS UNIVERSAL 65W Netbook Power Adapter PECOS UNIVERSAL 72W Notebook Power Adapter – Car PECOS UNIVERSAL 90W Notebook Power Adapter PECOS UNIVERSAL 90W Notebook Power Adapter – Car PECOS UNIVERSAL 110W Notebook Power Adapter PECOS UNIVERSAL 120W Notebook Adapter – Car Unfortunately there’s no suitable PECOS model available at the moment. | |||||
| The wattage indicated is the maximum power rating of the PECOS universal AC adapter – it’s also fine if your notebook’s power rating is lower than this figure. | ||||||
| Found the right AC adapter? Now all you need is the correct adapter tip and the right voltage setting: | |
![]() ![]() ![]() | 1. Referring to the compatibility list of makes and models, select the correct adapter tip for your notebook. If the recommended adapter tip doesn’t fit or your notebook make isn’t listed, try each of the adapter tips by first making sure your notebook is switched off and the plug is disconnected from the mains, then testing each of the adapter tips in turn by plugging them into your notebook’s power socket. 2. Plug the relevant adapter tip onto the power adapter’s charging cable. 3. If possible, set the required output voltage on the AC adapter. To determine this – just like the power rating – refer to the notebook, the manual or the original AC adapter. NEVER select a higher voltage level – if you cannot set the required voltage level precisely, set the next lowest voltage output level. 4. Now plug the charging cable, with the relevant adapter tip fitted, into the notebook’s power socket. 5. Plug the AC adapter into the power outlet. |
