My gamepad, joystick or steering wheel is not working. How do I check the functionality?
Search under Windows® under “Settings” for “Set up USB game controller”, the device should be listed here. Double-click on the device name in the list of installed game controllers to access the properties of the input device. You can test the functions there. Also check whether the correct mode for your game is selected for the device. If the device is neither displayed nor working, please contact our support team.
My steering wheel does not work on my PS4®
For the steering wheel to work on PS4®, you need to connect a PS4® controller to the steering wheel.
My steering wheel does not work on my Xbox One®
Please note that the TRAILBLAZER must be connected to the Xbox One® console via the USB cable. This was not mentioned in an early version of the enclosed operating instructions. We apologize for this error. Compatibility issues may still occur with some versions of the Xbox One S® and its gamepad. In this case, please download the TRAILBLAZER firmware update program from the SPEEDLINK website at www.speedlink.com, with which you can update the internal software of the steering wheel using a Windows PC. After the firmware update, the TRAILBLAZER should work again on your Xbox One S® without any problems.
Why does the steering wheel only work to a limited extent or not at all in some games?
Press and hold the “MODE” button for three seconds to switch between the two operating modes of the steering wheel: XInput (for most current games) and DirectInput (for all older and some newer games). If the red LED (left) lights up, DirectInput mode is active; if the green LED (right) lights up, the device is in XInput mode.
How do I set the steering sensitivity?
1. press and hold the “SELECT/SHARE” and “START/OPTIONS” buttons simultaneously (approx. 3 seconds) until the green LED lights up.
2. press “SELECT/SHARE”. The flashing speed of the green LED indicates the current sensitivity: low = slow flashing; medium = medium-fast flashing; high = fast flashing
3. switch through the sensitivity levels with “SELECT/SHARE”.
4. confirm the selected sensitivity: Press the D-pad upwards - the green LED goes out
Why is there a delay in the response of my steering wheel?
A small delay is important. This is approx. 15 degrees. This dead zone exists because there are games that use a negative dead zone. Without a delay, the steering wheel would steer against the desired direction.
Where can I find the driver?
In the Downloads tab. Please always use the latest one.
